Etsy is a great platform for new business owners. However, they do cater to the higher revenue generating companies.  A small business can be consumed by the fees that Etsy charges and its practices.  When businesses move from the Etsy platform, they have the ability to offer lower prices to their customers simply because the Etsy fees have been eliminated.
